🌿 A Professional Insight on Raw Hair & the 613 Question

Many hairstylists often ask whether the hair is raw hair — and take “can it lift to 613” as the only standard to judge it.
But in fact, these two are not the same thing.

As a supplier with over ten years of experience in raw hair materials, I’d love to share a few insights 💬👇

  1. Raw hair is indeed good-quality hair, no matter if it’s from Asia, Europe, or America.
However, not all raw hair can lift to 613 — only strong and healthy hair can handle the bleaching process. In factory production, we have temperature and time control systems, giving us an advantage to bleach 613 successfully while maintaining hair quality.
For example, Burmese and European hair can both be lifted to 613, but the strength after bleaching is completely different. Even experienced stylists, working without a temperature-controlled environment, can easily overprocess fine hair when relying only on timing.

  1. The secret lies in the cuticles.
Strong virgin hair is easier to bleach, but even non-virgin hair can reach 613 if its cuticles remain intact.
Once the cuticles are damaged, however, no hair type can be safely lifted to 613.
